Today Daddy took Jo and I to the animal shelter so that I could pick out a kitty since I lost my last one. I am now the proud owner of a very sweet little black kitty. She is a little skittish right now but that is because she has gone form being in a cage with six other cats to being by herself in a strange house but she has fallen asleep in my lap already and loves to be petted. Here is one picture of her I hope to get more soon. :)

Thanks so much! I really do love her!
I have not yet come up with a name but two of the names in question are Katerina and Stellar. I know they are complete opposites but I think right now those are the top ones.
By the way Savannah amongst many suggestions for names one of them was "Sassy" to go with y'alls fussy so one would be black the other white, one skinny the other fat, one short haired the other long so on and so forth. :)
There were many other suggestions but they are two many to name. :)

Its great news to hear that you have picked out a new cat! "Sassy" was inspired, it would be pretty funny, but I think Katerina is better. Unless your afraid of her turning out like the shrew:) Is that why ya'll thought of that name?

Her name is now officially Katerina. (or Katharina we have not yet decided on how to spell it) The reason behind the name.....there is none really. We just liked the name. (and this way my dad if he wants can just call her kitty or cat and it will still be her name. :)
She is really sweet but a little skittish right now. She had been in the shelter since June or longer so every thing is really new to her but she has gotten very used to the upstairs part of the house now.
I still intend to put some more pictures up of her I just have not gotten any yet because she is scared of the camera. (most of all when I forget to turn off the flash.)

Although I'm not really a fan of cats,I love black cats(and kittens, of course)! I think they are cute. A few years ago (when we lived in MI) a black kitten started hanging aroung our house. Steph and I decided to name it Snickers.

Thank you so much! I have really been enjoying her. Last night my mom brought home some new toys for her and she has just loved them! It is so much fun to play with her.
BTW I am still planing on putting up more pictures of her but I just can't get any! Maybe I can get one of my siblings to help me out.
